Filament-based stimulated Raman spectroscopy

چکیده
A new multiplexed stimulated Raman spectroscopic technique encompassing a single-shot spectral measurement range of over 3900 cm is presented. Impulsive excitation of all Raman active vibrational modes present in a medium is achieved by self-compression of a laser pulse undergoing filamentation in air, creating coherent vibrational wave-packets. These wave-packets create a macroscopic polarization of the medium that imparts sidebands on a delayed narrowband probe pulse. The background-free measurement of impulsively excited Raman modes in gas-phase N2, O2, H2, CO2, toluene, ammonia, and chloroform with a spectral resolution of 25 cm is presented.

Remote Sensing via Femtosecond Filament Based Technologies
The use of laser-induced filaments for remote sensing is of interest due to unique capabilities, including: propagating unchanged over 1-100 m distances, the creation of high intensity (10 W/cm) and large spectral bandwidth, and the ability to control the position of filamentation in space by changing the spectral phase of the driving pulse. These characteristics are used here for remote detect...
متن کاملEffect of Catalyst on the Growth of Diamond-like Carbon by HFCVD
Diamond like carbon (DLC) film was grown by hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD)technique. In the present work, we investigated the quality of the DLC films groew on the substratesthat were coated with various metal nanocatalysts (Au and Ni). A combination of CH4/Ar/H2 rendersthe growth of carbon nanostructures technique (diamond like carbon). The utilized samples werecharacterized by...

We propose a new approach to broadband Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) spectroscopy and microscopy based on time-domain Fourier transform (FT) detection of the stimulated Raman gain (SRG) spectrum. We generate two phase-locked replicas of the Stokes pulse after the sample using a passive birefringent interferometer and measure by the FT technique both the Stokes and the SRG spectra. Our appro...

Laser micro-Raman spectroscopy is an ideal tool for assessment and characterization of various types of carbon-based materials. Due to its special optical properties (CrN) coated stainless steel substrates. NCD films have been investigated by laser micro-Raman spectroscopy. The fingerprint of diamond based materials is in the spectral region of 1000-1600 cm-1 in the first order of Raman scatter...
متن کاملTime-gated pre-resonant femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy of diethylthiatricarbocyanine iodide.
We present time-gated femtosecond stimulated Raman spectroscopy (fSRS) under the pre-resonance Raman conditions of diethylthiatricarbocyanine (DTTC) iodide. A 'pseudo emission-free' condition is achieved by delivering the probe beam ahead of the pump beam. Regeneratively amplified pulse trains are employed to create an angle-geometry (non-collimated) mixing between the pump and probe beams, lea...
